Flower market?

My daughter does not have aol and asked me to post this question.

She will be in Paris in the early part of December. Where is the most beautiful flower market in Paris?

Thanks!

There are 3 flower markets in Paris, rather small (don%26#39;t expect the big flower markets you find in Provence).

One on the Cité island (speciality : orchids, trees, aromatic herbs) from tuesday to sunday from 8h to 19h30 (with a birds market on sunday), this one fits easlily in a touristic itinerary.

One Place des Ternes(speciality : cut flowers) from tuesday to sunday from 8h to 19h30

A tiny one Place de la Madeleine from monday to saturday from 8h to 19h30

ALL are pleasant (Ternes being the smallest)....but for the best of these flower markets, you must get to them EARLY in the mornings. By early afternoons, many of the vendors are either picked-over or packing up to leave.

If you were only to stop at one, then PLACE de la MADELEINE should probably be the one...for both the flower market and the many other attractions of the immediate neighborhood.
