I am going to Paris for the weekend in February and planning to stay in the 9th district.
Are there plenty of reasonably priced restaurants in that area and will they be open on a Sunday?
If anyone thinks this is not a good area to stay in for getting around, please can they suggest anywhere else.

Here is a start.... you should read the hotel reviews for Albion as there are suggestions there.
It%26#39;s located right next to rue des Martyrs, a %26#39;typical%26#39; market street -
several nice boulangeries, patisseries, etc.

Rose Bakery - 46, rue des Martyrs
%26quot;...Check out close by Rue des Martyrs for excellent foodie shops and restaurants. We recommend the anglo-french %26#39;Rose Bakery%26#39; for to-die-for savoury tarts, salad and crumble! We also loved La Fourmi Café for Italian food....%26quot;

%26quot;...Brand new place. Inventive traditionnal, but still solid quality, quantity and atmosphere. The Gingerbread Macarroon with the house Foie Gras is amazing. The Jurasienne de Veau great and still filling. The winelist has 18 euros vdp for the budget but always a large range of wines from the Gaillard Condrieu for the Foie Gras to reasonable 40 euro Margaux for the entrecote..all the way up to very mature Mouton Lafitte and Latour. I wish there were more places like this....%26quot;

%26quot;...Wednesday, Sebastien Demorand of Zurban, gave his big review to a neighborhood but upscale troquet/bistrot, Marmite Bazar, 14, rue Bochart de Saron in the 9th, 01.48.78.51.47, closed Sunday nights and Monday, formula at lunch 15, a la carte 30 E, where the food is good despite a banal-looking menu, he liked, in addition to the wide range of wines, the big fricassee of mussels with tumeric, “cigarettes” of farm goat cheese, magret with onion compote and a prune clafoutis...%26quot;

followup:
le Charlain - closed on Sunday
Marmite B. - closed on Sunday night
however, just get out and circulate the immediate area and take some notes - there are always restaurants open on Sunday somewhere.
