Has anyone been to Ronchamp from Paris? If so, what%26#39;s the best way to get there?
We were thinking about renting a car and driving, but I%26#39;m not positive on the drive time. Any ideas?
Thanks!!

The Ronchamp site recommedns driving. I have never been, but for the best driving instructions, check out viamichelin.com.

The SNCF website mentions ONE single train a day via Vesoul, and it%26#39;s 5 hours altogether with a lengthy (1 hour) layover in Vesoul (do you know the Jacques Brel, song? at least you will have seen Vesoul). Viamichelin suggests a 4 hour drive. And, believe me, it%26#39;s a long and dull drive. If I were you, I would take the train to Vesoul, and there rent a car to Ronchamp (60 km). I don%26#39;t know if you plan to come after June 07, in which case the new TGV Est might alter your plans with new stations, quicker ride times, different schedules, etc.

OK, I know it sounds a bit anorak-y, but I researched further and found out that, from June 10, 2007, the TGV Est will link Paris to the Vosges town of Remiremont twice a day, and it%26#39;ll only be 2h40. From there on, it%26#39;s the same distance as from Vesoul (64 km) to Ronchamp, and in the nicer scenery of the Vosges mountains.

You can also plan a drive using %26quot;Mappy%26quot; .
We did that drive from Paris to Troyes to Langres to Belfort to Ronchamps on a past trip to visit relatives in Strasbourg.
We did many stops to see the sites on the way. We found it interesting drive.
It was an alternative route for us since we have gone the Reims-Metz-Nancy route a few times before.
I like using a car rental because of the freedom to explore.
