Honeymoon on the Riviera

We are considering the French Riviera for 4-5 days of our honeymoon (another 4-5 in Paris). We%26#39;re looking for the best beach (real sand, not pebbles) with a resort feel (pool if possible) in the heart of everything (so we don%26#39;t have to do a lot of driving) and still maintains some romance. We%26#39;re getting married the end of July 2007. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Thanks!!

The Chateau Valmer in La Croix Valmer, a little west of San Tropez.

Also have a look at Le Beauvallon just outside Ste Maxime across the bay from St Tropez (private launch takes you across). http://www.lebeauvallon.com/

Then on the hill above St Tropez is Chateau Hotel de la Messardiere. They have a 24 hour car service into St Tropez I believe. http://www.messardiere.com/

In Gassin you have Villa Belrose. http://www.relaischateaux.com/belrose

At Le Rayol is Le Bailli de Suffren. http://www.lebaillidesuffren.com/

Along the coast a bit at Cavaliere is Le Club. http://www.clubdecavaliere.com/

You have not given a budget and these are all in the high end of the price range. So a little cheaper is Souleias in Gigaro. http://www.hotel-souleias.com/

All of these are in the Var further away from the resorts of Nice and Cannes but they are where the long sandy beaches are.
