Somewhere to stay between Beaune and Reims (Champagne area?)

Hi

Just wondering If anyone knows of a nice picturesque town or village between Beaune and Reims. I%26#39;m gonna be travelling from the Alps to Calais in April and I%26#39;m thinking that this would be a good area to stop for the night.

So if anyone knows of a nice hotel in the area I would appreciate it.

Hi

Have a look at Troyes, half-timbered buildings very pretty. There are two hotels next to each other www.champdesoiseaux.com and www.maisonderhodes.com. The first does not have a restaurant but there are plenty within walking distance.

After Troyes it seems to me that there is a large chunk of France with not much in the way of hotels until Dijon.
