depends...

If you don%26#39;t mind paying the annual fee of around $75...although the first year is usually free. I have not yet been able to talk my way out of paying that fee, either.

I currently have both a United Mileage Plus Visa and an American Aadvantage Mastercard which have contributed substantially to my mileage accounts, even if I am not travelling as frequently as usual.

If you are considering a card like this, check the airline%26#39;s website first. You should be able to take advantage of some sort of offer for either a certain amount of miles and/or a companion ticket when you open the account.

I cancelled my MP Visa Card about a year ago so that I could concentrate on accruing American Aadvantage points...I recently got an email offer for a MP Visa card that is free for the first year and gives me 20K points after my first purchase. I took advantage of this and plan to cancel the account prior to the annual fee. (I believe I have to keep the card for at least 6 months or they take the miles back).

Huh? I%26#39;m confused...this has no context...

It must be a reply to some post.

|||

It is. But when I saw the topic I thought it was going to be about something else entirely!

|||

LOL Irish ~ can you get them in Paris?

|||

Ummmmm, I think we may have been thinking the same thing, Irish!! ;)

|||

OMG - That never even occurred to me. I guess I only have young thoughts.

|||

Shosey,

I%26#39;m going to my 30 year high school reunion this weekend...my mind must be focused on getting older :)

|||

%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; can you get them in Paris? %26lt;%26lt;%26lt;

I%26#39;m happy to report that I don%26#39;t know, Soames!

Shoesy, everything about you is young! And a 30th high school reunion is still on the upslope side of the hill, sistereurope! I%26#39;ll let you know when i reach the summit and start down the other side just so you and Shoes can be forewarned...

|||

Have fun, sistereurope. My 40th should be coming up some time next year, though I doubt if I%26#39;ll be able to attend.

Irish - You%26#39;ll never be too old to go to Paris, right?

I think Julliet should come back to this thread and take a bow, for the comic relief lol ~ it isn%26#39;t often that a title has me in stitches!
