Hotel in 12th arrondissement under USD $100

My husband and I are traveling to France in mid-late December (3 weeks from now!). We are staying in Paris for one night and need a hotel near the Place de la Nation, in the 12th arrondissement. We don%26#39;t need anything really fancy and are targeting %26lt;$100 USD. If you have any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate a brief review! Thanks in advance.

Clarification: Hotel can be located in 20th arr. also. TIA

You might want to check out hotel de la porte d%26#39;oree:

I have never stayed there but it is in my neighborhood and looks nice from the outside. I also think it gets good reviews here on TA.

Read these guest-reviews !! This should meet with your demands, I think.

Hotel de la Porte Doree has the price but it%26#39;s about 2 km from Place de la Nation, or 5 metro stops.

Lux Hotel Picpus is quite popular and very inexpensive, and about 220 meters from Nation.

There is one review for: Grand Hôtel du Bel Air, just a little closer than Lux Picpus...

Thank you for these 2 recommendations. Any other good suggestions from other experienced travelers or natives?

good catch travelnutty! I must have been asleep when I posted the repy. I spelled Doree wrong and didnt notice the mention of the need for it being close to Nation. Seminole: The hotel is a bit far away for your needs as travelnutty mentioned.

MorganB, their website does say the nearest RER is Nation, I thought maybe that%26#39;s why you thought of it (plus it is popular)...

anyway, I just enjoy looking at Paris hotels.. no way you can stay in them all, but it would be fun to try.

Merci beaucoup!

I booked with Lux Hotel Picpus. Thanks for the recommendations!
