Is it safe for a female solo traveller?

I%26#39;ll be staying at the Timhotel near to Dupreix Metro. I hope to go to the Lourve, Eiffel Tower, and Arc de Triomphe at night but a bit worried whether it is safe for me to wander around at night on my own to those places and back. Please advise. Thanks.

Paris is very safe for solo female travelers as long as you don%26#39;t flash a lot of money or wander down dark alleys alone at 3 a.m. We%26#39;ve had lots of discussions on this lately so you might do a search on words like %26quot;female traveling alone%26quot; %26quot;solo%26quot; and things like that to get all the details.

All of those places are constantly crowded with people and you will be fine. Dupleix is a nice area of town, quiet and residential, so it might be a bit %26#39;deserted%26#39; at night, but it%26#39;s not dangerous there.

I%26#39;m really thinking of coding a bot to answer %26quot;safety%26quot; questions ... especially when they are about extremely safe and upper class parts of town, like Dupleix...

I%26#39;ve yet to see a question like %26quot;I booked my hotel in Blanc-Mesnil, is it safe%26quot; !

Especilly not with 100 € notes hanging out of pockets and purse, knocking back swigs from a botttle of Burgandy, while belting out bawdy sea chanties and limericks.....otherwise you%26#39;ll probably feel and be safer strolling the street of Paris alone at night than you feel or are crossing a local shopping mall parking lot from store to car at night at home.

Since the OP is from Singapore, this has to be put in perspective ... but whatever, this saftey question is really becoming tiresome, especially when answered to every other day !

Super, think about it. How many women in your entourage travel on their own... completely alone for pleasure? I mean, I have a lot well traveled, educated women in my world and remarkably few of them head out on holidays on their own.

In fact, I%26#39;d say that it is a fairly unchartered territory.

Paris is one of the places that I feel very confident travelling alone, so much-so that I%26#39;m abondoning my family and boyfriend to go alone at Christmas! I lived and went to school there for a year in college and never once feared for my safety. Granted this was 13 years ago, but I doubt much has changed in that respect. Unlike a lot of large U.S. cities, the city-proper of Paris is quite safe, while the suburbs are perhaps more dangerous.

I%26#39;m a female and most of my holidays I travel alone. Mostly because all my friends are in relationships. I don%26#39;t let it stop me and I%26#39;ve traveled to Paris and London alone approx 6 times. I%26#39;ve always felt very safe. I%26#39;m a late night person and have walked alone back to my hotels many many times. There are usually a lot of people out. I always keep aware of my surroundings and don%26#39;t take unnecessary chances. I hope to go back again next year!

Have a great trip!

PS I%26#39;m not familiar with the Dupreix Metro area and can%26#39;t find it on the map.

Try looking for DupLeix. In the 15th arrondissement.
