La Cigale Concerts

We are going to see Dave Matthews play at La Cigale in March and I was wondering if anyone has any info on the venue.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by %26quot;..info..%26quot; but if you haven%26#39;t checked it out for yourself, try this--

Thanks for the help but I was looking for more of a first-hand review. I have seen some pics and read all the websites but I am looking to hear from someone that has actually seen a show there.

I%26#39;ve seen a few shows there. It%26#39;s a rather big, but plain, venue in the Pigalle/Montmartre area. Good vibes, the sound system could have been better IMO, but maybe it was the bands%26#39; fault. Nice, lively, bohemian area and cafés/bars around.

My husband and I were considering (if finances allowed) going over for that concert as well!

Perhaps Bob, or another local can answer this-- the tickets for Dave Matthews say %26quot;standing only%26quot;, yet on the website, you can clearly see theatre seats. Have they recently taken them out? It looks to me to be a very nice %26quot;normal%26quot; theatre, where the seats are not removeable (unlike %26quot;floor%26quot; seats in a hockey rink for instance).

I imagine they can take the seats in and out as needed. I also heard a rumor on antsmarching.org that Tim Reynolds will be playing with Dave. My girlfriend and I are huge Dave fans and it works out that we can both get off work to see him in her favorite city, Paris.

Also it isn%26#39;t very often Dave does a European tour and to be able to see him in a smaller venue like La Cigale would be almost impossible in the US without paying a lot. There are still tix available...let me know if you need the website for the tix.

I have personally always seen La Cigale without any seats, so they must remove them when it is used in %26quot;rock concert mode%26quot;. The whole place was standing only, as far as I can remember.
