Buy amber in Paris?

Does anyone know of a place I can buy amber in Paris? I would love to have some jewlery with amber. Thanks, M

There is a place in the Louvre Carousel shops (the shopping area attached to the Louvre) that has a lot of amber items. I don%26#39;t recall the name but it is the shop that has all the crystals and fossils.

There are also two shops in Montmartre (18th arr.) that I know of that have a lot of amber. One is on r. Lepic between Place Blanche and rue des Abbesses. The other is on rue des Abbesses between r. Lepic and r. Audran.

I have also seen amber sold in several shops in the Marais (4th arr.) on r. des Francs Bourgious and r. des Rosiers.

(Sorry I can%26#39;t recall the names but the jewelry is prominently displayed in the windows of all the above mentioned shops)

When are you going?

The christmas markets have stalls selling Russian amber. Take a UV light or a glass of water and check its real first though.
