Time for Musee D'Orsay

Okay...ticky question...but since this will be the first time I get to check out this museum....I thought I%26#39;d ask....

All the pictures that I%26#39;ve seen from people%26#39;s trip reports, etc. show the big pretty clock in the entryway and it looks so lovely!! I was planning on going in the evening (on the day that it%26#39;s open later).....will I still be able to get that full WOW affect? Or should I plan to pop in another time?

An evening visit would be wonderful.

If you are able do step out on the balcony ( I believe it is on the snack food floor level) so you can see the city lights and the Seine River boats too.

The inside of the museum including the paintings, sculptures, etc has a WOW effect night or day!... espcially for a first time visiter!

Have a great trip!

For maximum contrast, you really need daylight outside to make the clock at the d%26#39;Orsay %26#39;..pop..%26#39;.. If you%26#39;re visiting in summer, it stays bright until 8-9PM...in winter the sun sets at approx 5 PM.
