Need Left Bank/Latin Quarter Hotel

Hi all, I leave for Europe tomorrow. I will be in Paris next week, and I still need a hotel. I would like to stay in the Latin Quarter. I am looking to spend about $250 per night. It seems that what appeals to me are more expensive (of course), and I have no personal recommendations. What do you guys suggest from personal experience? Thank you so much in advance.

You can definitely get a 3-star and maybe a 4-star hotel.

I like the Hotel de Fleurie: http://www.fleurie-hotel-paris.com/

|||

I would suggest you try one of the last minute hotel booking sites such as ratestogo.com

I just took a look there but not knowing your exact dates or how long you are staying I can%26#39;t give you a specific recommendation. However for the random dates I did pick, Nov. 29 through Dec. 3, the K%26amp;K Cayre is showing availability for $256 a night. It probably wouldn%26#39;t be my choice but it gets good reviews here and the price seems pretty good for this hotel.

Check the reviews on this site before you book.

You might try Best Western Jardin de Cluny. It%26#39;s a great location. I%26#39;ve stayed there several times.

And very close to it is the Best Western La Tour de Notre Dame. Their rooms are small, but again, the location is good.

Have a great trip!

We stayed at Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg on Boulevarde St. Michel. Loved it and the area!

|||

We like the Madison in St-Germain, very close to the metro station.

Hotel des grands hommes

and

hotel du Pantheon

http://www.hoteldupantheon.com

both in the middle of Quartier Latin, both nice 3* level, both usually at about 200 euros list price, and under same management, seem to have available their special internet rate (130 and 109 euros respectively), which are a real bargain.

The websites will give you an idea.

I have had some US suppliers there, and none complained!!!

But you should not wait too long, these can fill fast!

Have a great stay!

We have friends coming next week and I was able to book the Lutecia for them at $250-$219 a night, depending on the day. This i s a luxury hotel. It is in St Germain, which is not far from the Latin Qtr and a bit more upscale. Used Expedia.

That hotel in the posr above is correctly spelled Lutetia ( not Lutecia) just to help you locate it if you are interested. Haven%26#39;t stayed there but sounds lovely ( but pretty pricey I think)

|||

From what I%26#39;ve read, the quality of the rooms at the Lutetia varies widely; best to ask for one in a good location.
