STA discounts

The friend that is travelling with me is a teacher. She has an STA (Student Travel Asso) card and I was wondering if she will be able to secure any discounts in Paris using it. Since I don%26#39;t have one, we can%26#39;t book our travel together thru STA, but I was hoping, for her sake, that she might still be able to use it in Paris, as any college student would.

Anybody know?

Hey

Student cards give discounts in most places in paris, in museums, cinemas etc. Some places do have a age limit though, so it depends a bit on her age and the place. But she should bring the card and atleast try to use it everytime you do something and then you will see about the regualtions in the specific place you visit.

Hello,

Union teachers get discounts in some museums and maybe other places. Last he tried my son, a union teacher, got a discount in d%26#39;Orsay and a few other places. They had stopped it at the Louvre, but maybe its on there again............maybe. Cant hurt to try and it might save a few euros.

As with a lot of other things, the answer is — it all depends.

Check the recent thread re museum passes with the topic %26quot;Student museum pass question%26quot; for more specific info.
