This used to be open 24 hours a day I think. Does it still have long opening hours please or will finding a post office tomorrow afternoon have to go top of the list?
Thanks

No, as far as I know, it is still open 24/7. Expect long queues though. You know you can buy stamps at any tabac, don%26#39;t you?

Thanks Bob. Yes I know about the tabacs but this letter contains four ski passes so needs to be weighed. I just thought as it is going to France and I%26#39;m going to be in Paris I could post it there. I%26#39;ll see how bad the queues are and if the worse comes to the worse post it in the UK on Monday.

Post offices in France have automated scales so that you can weigh the package and purchase the postage directly from the machine without waiting in those nasty lines.
|||
Yes of course they do I%26#39;d completely forgotten! Another senior moment. Thanks for the reminder Phread.

There%26#39;s also a machine that can weigh your mail and print the appropriate stamp(s) on the ground floor of the Centre Pompidou.

Thank you for that information as this is again in my area. I think my ski pass order will soon be on it%26#39;s way.
Thanks to you all, I am now just hoping for a big dump of snow, not on the roads, before the 23rd December.
