Going to Paris

I am headed to Paris next week - can%26#39;t wait but am still ironing out details. Hope you all can help with some questions.

1. I will be headed to Brussels from Paris and am catching a morning flight - 7:30am - what%26#39;s the best, most reliable way to get to the cdg from the Opera area and make it to the airport for that flight?

2. I would like to visit a Christmas market while there - can someone provide information on where they are located. I found information on 2005 and maybe I am just not looking in the right place.

3. What%26#39;s the most convenient location to pick up the museum pass. I will be flying into cdg.

4. A friend and I would like to meet up for dinner on a Saturday - something casual, french probably and reasonable.

5. Anyone know if there is a one or two bag restriction on Brussels Airline?

Thank you

If you have not purchased a no-change, no refund air ticket, think about taking the train Paris to Brussels - you will start out from a station in Paris rather than having to get out to the airport, and you will arrive at a station in Brussels, rather than having to get back into town from the airport.

There are several trains a day and the journey takes about an hour and a half.

Museum pass - I picked mine up at the Musee Picasso - at 10 am in the morning, before the queues. You could also try the Crypt Archeologique as another %26quot;not-so-busy%26quot; place...My experience is that you can%26#39;t get them at railway stations any more, and I recall reading that they%26#39;re not at the tourist booths in the airport, either.

Gotta get them at a museum

I suppose the OP got a deal with SN Brussels that includes the Paris-Brussels leg. Hence the flight question (otherwise, if you cancel it and take the train instead, yes, it might be more convenient).

The first Roissybus leaves Opéra at 6am, and, at this time of the day, should only take 40 mn to reach CDG. If your flight leaves at 7h30, it%26#39;s a bit tight. Otherwise you can take the RER A at Auber, with an easy change at Les Halles to RER B. The first RERs run at about 5h15, so you%26#39;ll be at CDG by 6h00, more than enough. Or you can take a cab (about €45); public transport to CDG is €8-9.

As for the Christmas markets, there is a (pathetic) one on place de la Bourse, as well, as, maybe at the Hôtel de Ville. Nothing to write home about though.

Dinner: where? what kind of food? budget?

All EU airlines are following the same restrictions that have been officially edicted and enforced since Nov 6. I am sure SN Brussels have them posted on their website.
