We are going to go to Nice in Septermber. What will be an advice of the Nice%26#39;s experts on which from 2 hotels is better: Regency Hotel or Gounod? Wi would be very grateful for your advice. Thanks a lot, Alex

Haven%26#39;t stayed at neither. If the Regency is the Hotel Régence on Rue Masséna, then this one is right on the pedestrian street, a few minutes from the sea and the Promenade des Anglais but on a very busy street with lots of restaurants. Kinda close to the Old Town if you walk to Jean-Médecin and cross the Place Masséna.
The Gounod is a bit further away from the seaside but in a VERY NICE neighboorhood and further to the West side of Nice (halfway between Gambetta Boulevard and Jean Médecin, so still close to the shopping street). The Gounod is next door to the Splendid Hotel and shares the Splendid%26#39;s swimming pool)
If you want a quiet area, I%26#39;d go to the Gounod.
