la defense area

hi, i am staying at the renaissance la defense one night, and the next night we%26#39;re staying at the sofitel la defense. are they in walking distance? if we have luggage, would we still be able to walk?

There are two SOFITEL properties out at La Défense---

The Sofitel nearest to the Renaissance would be the Grande Arche.

In theory, it is possible to walk between the Sofitel La Défense Grande Arche and the Renaissance....but in this busy, immediate area, crossing major roadways between the two will be bothersome at best and difficult at worst. Walking from the Sofitel La Défense Centre will be worse.

Check with the Sofitel to see if they have a shuttle that travels around the La Défense complex (from hotel to major buildings) or take a taxi for the short ride.
