What is the weather like in October in Nice? Can you go to the beach and suntan? Weather websites said it reaches 20 degrees.

I can only tell you about the weather we had last October, from the 6th through the 16th: summer, with temperatures in the low to mid 80%26#39;s. People were all over the beach, and some were even swimming. The Promenade des Anglais was full of visitors basking in the sun.

For the past three years we have been to Nice beginning of October and we have been sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Also eating out side in the Old Town till late.

This wonderful site automatically plots the Nice daily temperature 365 days a year, back over four years, so you see the diferrent %26quot;vintages%26quot;

October ranges typically 20 - 25 degrees. However.
Just because its warm doesn%26#39;t mean its necessarily sunny! Nice claims 250 days of sunshine a year. That still leaves 115 not.
Anyway, your skin will still tan through cloud.
October has usually been a mix - some sunny days, some sun and cloud, odd bit of rain, but still not like this last weekend - two days solid rain, like stair-rods sometimes. When it rains it sure rains and November is usually a pig (no offense intended, oink oink) .
So better make that early October rather than late, pack an umbrella,and warm shirt for those evenings are quite cool.
