Nice restaurants in 1st Arrondissement

Hi

Can anyone recommend a nice, chic restaurant that I can take my husband to for our wedding anniversary - we are staying at the Castille Paris - so somewhere within walking distance would be great.

Thanks

Bonjour,

Well, à brûle-pourpoint, the first one to come to mind is the incredible Grand Véfour at the Palais-Royal. Only a very pleasant 15 minutes walk from your hotel. For the price you will get a historic decor, service, and grande cuisine that you will remember for the rest of your life.

Bon appétit.

Hi,

%26quot;Pierre at Palais Royal%26quot; (10, rue de Richelieu ou 4, rue Montpensier) is a nice place. It is open for dinner Mon - Sat.

Around the corner of above place is %26quot;Le Restaurant du Palais Royal%26quot; ( 110, galerie de Valois ) . Open for dinner Mon - Sat, too.

If it is a special anniversary, then try Le Grand Vefour on 17, rue de Beaujolais

Last but not least: Carré des Feuillants ( 14, rue de Castiglione ). Open Mon - Fri

The 1th isn%26#39;t big, so all places are more or less in walking distance ...

Here%26#39;s another huge recommendation for Le Grand Vefour. But, you must book ahead. (You can do this online.) You may want to consider going for lunch, when they have a very reasonable prix fixe menu.

Thanks all - we are there 28th to 31st December and I was hoping to find somewhere for the Saturday eve the 30th - le grand looks lovely but is closed then :(. any more recommendations?

How about L Escargot Montorgueil. Our meal there was memorable, a nice decor and interesting menu. I have been surfing but cannot find what are the hours for the holidays season.
