Paris Metro zones question

Sorry if this has been asked before (I did a search but couldn%26#39;t find it) -- if I want to buy a Paris Visite pass only for the central part of Paris (perhaps out to Cite de Sciences), what zones would I need?

The metro stop, Porte de la Villette, is in Zone 1. The Paris Visite pass is not necessarily a good deal...

|||

The Paris Visite zones 1-3 covers all of Paris that a tourist would normally want to see. These passes are ok if your visit won%26#39;t coincide well with the validity period of the Carte Orange pass, which is good specifically Monday-Sunday. It can be bought Friday-Wednesday of the days preceding or during the pass%26#39;s validity. The Paris Visite can be bought anytime and used anytime - once you start it, then it counts down the days of validity.

p.s. you can find all the transportation information and zone maps on www.ratp.fr and also at Paris Tourist Office, www.parisinfo.com
