Trip insurance

I am planning a trip to Paris in June. I have never purchased trip insurance for any trip I have taken, but, there are alot of variables that could impact me in the next 6 months, so I%26#39;m thinking I need to do this for this trip.

Since I have never purchased it before, when, exactly, should I buy it? Before buying the airline tickets, for sure, right?

I know I have seen this topic discussed before, but I can%26#39;t find the thread I%26#39;m looking for.

Any help is appreciated for the %26quot;newbie%26quot; when it comes to trip ins.

pre-trip-cancellation insurance must be purchased at time of ticket purchase, more orless. Others (trip-interruption, lost/delayed baggage, medical..) can be purchased anytime before your departure.
