i am sure it seems odd but i like shopping for appliances such as fridges, dishwahsers, tiles, ovens and such. I have been to paris many times so i would like to know if there is an area of paris or some interesting appliance stores i can be directed to.

you could go to any conforama, its full of that, or at bhv, which is a big shop like galeries lafayette but more appliance etc oriented, darty also is a chain all over paris with the best choice i think, it got also electronics, hifi video etc. there are thousand of appliances stores in paris but these are the big chains.

If you can get out of the center of Paris there are many chain appliance outlets such as Darty, Conforama and even FNAC which has smaller appliances at some of its stores. The %26quot;grands surfaces%26quot; such as Auchan, Giante, and Carrefoure also carry these items.

It%26#39;s pretty straightforward: for appliances per se, it%26#39;s Darty (darty.fr)

For DIY materials (tiles): BHV (also appliances, on a different floor), Leroy Merlin (one big store next to the Pompidou Center), Castorama (place de Clichy, Nation), Mr Bricolage are scattered around town. All these chains have websites with store finder facilities.
