Night life with teen?

Hi!

Since we%26#39;ll be arriving in the late evening in Paris, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for interesting late night activities. Hubby and I will have our 15 yr. old son along, and we%26#39;d just like to find an area that%26#39;s fun and interesting for people watching. Is the city very strict about bringing teens into bars or clubs? We%26#39;re thinking of staying near Notre Dame, and I think that%26#39;s close to %26quot;The Latin Quarter%26quot;? I hear that%26#39;s collage area, so is there a lot of night life there even in the middle of the week?

Thanks! :-)

Hello, if you are arriving late into Paris coming from California, I imagine the best %26quot;nightlife%26quot; might be dinner and bed. Hello jet lag.

When I took my 14 yr old son two summers ago, I found that after a full day of site seeing, and a later dinner, that by 9 -9:30 ish we were fine with just going to the room. We did sometimes linger a bit longer over desert if we had a nice outside table and people watched, and yes occaisonally used the time to finish up some souvernir shopping along the Rue Du Rivoili,, but really didn%26#39;t find alot more do with a teen. We were tired alot though, I mean we would walk 10 or 15 miles a day. so turning in( going up to the room) by 10 didn%26#39;t seem unreasonable, and we thought french tv was fun to watch. I watched an entire show with almost no idea what they were saying( just a little french here) but enjoyed it immensely.!

Take a walk along the Seine from Notre Dame to Pont des Arts...then across Pont des Arts (not too shabby a view of the illuminated Eiffel Tower %26#39;..twinkles..%26#39; for 10 minutes, on-the-hour at night), into the Cour Carrée of the Louvre (at the Right Bank end of Pont des Arts, then through the passageway out onto the main Cour Napoleon. There%26#39;s always something interesting, in the way of %26#39;..street theater..%26#39; and people watching in this area in the evenings. You might even see a proposal of marraige along the route (wish the couple well on behalf of the TA Paris forum). Return by way of Blvd. Saint Germain / Blvd. Saint Michel / rue de la Huchette. If you don%26#39;t see something odd or %26#39;..interesting..%26#39; along the route, I%26#39;d be greatly surprised.
